Transit Bipartisyon Tekniği ve Komplikasyonlarının Tedavisi

Tip 2 diyabetes mellitus (T2DM), hipertansiyon, kan yağları bozukluğu (hiperlipidemi, hiperkolesterolemi vb), obezite, uyku apnesi ve eklem rahatsızlıklarının hepsine birden "metabolik sendrom" adı verilmektedir. Bunların çoğu öncelikle obezite ve sonrasında da T2DM sebebiyle ortaya çıkmaktadır. Tüm bu problemlerin ortaya çıkışı zayıf diyabetiklerde de görülünce ana sebebin obeziteden ziyade T2DM olduğu açıktır. İşte birçok problemin ortaya çıkışından sorumlu olduğu düşünülen T2DM'nin cerrahi tedavisi için kullanılan yönteme "metabolik cerrahi" adı verilmektedir. Transit Bipartisyon (TB) yöntemi tek başına olmaktan çok sleeve gastrektomi ile birlikte iş görmektedir. Bu yöntemi ilk uygulayan Santoro da bu şekilde tanımlamıştır. Bu bölümde bir metabolik cerrahi yöntemi olarak TB'nin ne olduğu, tarihsel gelişimi, endikasyonları, komplikasyonları ve bu komplikasyonların gelişmesi durumunda yapılabilecek revizyon yöntemlerinden bahsedilecektir
