Holm, Sveden, Vittinge sn., Vittinge 26: 1 The inscription reads: “Björn and his brothers travelled this stone after Sigbjörn in Holm.” Sigbjörn in Holm is probably the father of Björn and his brothers. Björn is one of the most common names for the runic inscriptions. Sigbjörn is also quite a common name. It is interesting that the place name Holm is mentioned. The name is iof. misspelled but it still gives us evidence that the village name was already in the 1000s. Where Holm is located, the terrain rises above the surrounding lowlands.
