INFLUENCE OF DENTO-MAXILLOFACIAL SYSTEM PATHOLOGY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF DISORDERS OF REGULATORY MOLECULAR COMPOUNDS

The aim of the study is to determine the role of regulatory molecular compounds in the presence of concomitant pathology of the dento-maxillofacial system in patients with psoriasis.The subject of the study is clinical features of the course of psoriasis; indicators of regulatory molecular compounds; focal infection of the dento-maxillofacial system. Of the 120 patients with psoriasis examined, 62 (51.7%) were diagnosed with focal infection of the dento-maxillofacial system (caries, pulpitis, periodontitis). Studies of pathogenetically significant regulatory molecular compounds (prostaglandins, cyclic nucleotides, cytokines, neuropeptides, biogenic amines) revealed changes in their content in blood serum, which significantly differed both from the data obtained during the examination of the control group of healthy individuals and between the groups of patients with and without damage to the dento-maxillofacial system (more pronounced in the presence of focal infection). This dictates the need for mandatory sanitation of the dento-maxillofacial system in patients with psoriasis, as well as the use of means of modulating the detected changes in regulatory molecular compounds.Keywords: psoriasis, focal infection of the dento-maxillofacial system, regulatory molecular compounds.
