Determination of the genetic group and characterization of the cultural properties of the probiotic strain Bacillus pumilus LA56
View through CrossRef
The object of the study was the probiotic strain Bacillus pumilus LA56. The work solved the problem of conducting genetic analysis and characterizing the properties of the probiotic strain Bacillus pumilus LA56. As a result of the experiment, the genetic sequence and relationship of the bacterial strain Bacillus pumilus LA56 were determined. The genetic relationship of Bacillus pumilus LA56 with Bacillus pumilus ATCC 7061 and Bacillus pumilus NBRC 12092 was established, and to a lesser extent with Bacillus Zhangzhouensis MCC1A08, Bacillus safensis FO-36b and Bacillus safensis NBRC 100820. The method of delayed antagonism and the method of direct incubation showed identical results. The most sensitive to Bacillus pumilus LA56 are laboratory strains Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Salmonella typhimurium, Candida albicans ATCC 10231. The Aspergillus niger culture is insensitive to LA56 and has low antagonistic activity. The obtained results of determining the cultural properties and antagonism of the Bacillus pumilus LA56 strain are explained by its affinity with other probiotic strains, as well as the ability to produce exotoxins that are capable of inhibiting the growth of other microorganisms. The peculiarity of the obtained results is that for the first time the genetic sequence and affinity of the bacterial strain Bacillus pumilus LA56 were determined, its cultural properties and microbial antagonism were investigated. The obtained results provide prospects for the use of Bacillus pumilus LA56 as a probiotic for livestock to support immunity, intestinal microbiota, and growth stimulant, as an alternative to feed antibiotics with the aim. The conditions for practical use of the probiotic Bacillus pumilus LA56 are not to use it simultaneously with antibiotics to prevent inactivation
Title: Determination of the genetic group and characterization of the cultural properties of the probiotic strain Bacillus pumilus LA56
Description:
The conditions for practical use of the probiotic Bacillus pumilus LA56 are not to use it simultaneously with antibiotics to prevent inactivation.
