Reactualization of Ki Hajar Dewantara's Educational Philosophy in the Digital Era

Ki Hajar Dewantara's Trilogy concepts in the education system underscore the crucial role of education in human life, particularly in Indonesia, where the concept of social equality and justice in education remains underdeveloped due to incomplete exploration of Dewantara's educational philosophy. Central to Dewantara's philosophy is the concept of tri rahayu, encompassing hamemayu hayuning salira, hamemayu hayuning bongso, and hamemayu hayuning buwana. This study employs the library research method, drawing from books, journals, and scientific articles to support material literacy. The findings suggest that education, according to Dewantara, serves multiple vital functions: firstly, as a means for personal development and self-protection, perceived as a divine gift; secondly, as a vehicle for nurturing nationalism and equipping individuals to confront contemporary challenges, notably in the digital age; and thirdly, as a platform for fostering environmental awareness and responsibility towards safeguarding the world gifted by the divine.
