Działalność więzienia w Pińczowie w latach 1939-1944 (dystrykt Radom): The operation of the prison in Pińczów in 1939-1944 (Radom district)

W czasie okupacji niemieckiej więzienie w Pińczowie było największym więzieniem na terenie Kreishauptmannschaft Busko. Jednocześnie wraz z Lasem Wełeckim koło Buska-Zdroju stanowiło największe miejsce egzekucji mieszkańców Kreishauptmannschaft Busko. Jego działalność w latach 1939-1944 jest słabo opisana w polskiej historiografii. Brak również publikacji omawiających straty osobowe na jego terytorium. Celem artykułu jest dokonanie charakterystyki działalności więzienia w Pińczowie oraz omówienie zbrodni niemieckich popełnionych na jego terenie.   During the German occupation, the prison in Pińczów was the largest prison in the Kreishauptmannschaft Busko area. At the same time, the prison in Pińczów together with the Wełecki Forest near Busko-Zdrój was the largest place of execution of the inhabitants of Kreishauptmannschaft Busko. Its activity in 1939-1944 is poorly described in Polish historiography. There are also no articles about personnel losses in its territory. The goal of the article is to characterize prisoners from Pińczów and to discuss German crimes committed on its territory.
