Computer-based metrological research system for diagnostic channels of chronomagnetotherapy complexes

View through CrossRef
One of the effective methods for increasing the efficiency of general magnetic therapy today is continuous assessment of the current functional state of the patient during the magnetic therapy session. To implement the method, measuring diagnostic channels for non-invasive monitoring of four vital physiological processes of a person have been developed and tested: heartbeat, respiration, saturation and blood pressure. However, practice has shown that the arsenal of sensors that meet the requirements for use in conditions of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and other natural artifacts directed at the patient is very limited, the production of sensors is located abroad and their metrological characteristics are usually unknown or require practical confirmation. Therefore, technical means are needed that allow for automated metrological studies of various types of sensors, finding their actual conversion functions and assessing real errors. The aim of the article is the analysis of development of an automated system for metrological studies of diagnostic channels of the chronomagnetotherapy complexes "Multimag" and "Relaxmag" based on a computer. A number of methods and hardware and software tools have been proposed and tested, providing reliable determination and assessment of metrological characteristics of non-invasive photometric and location sensors, with the help of which it is possible to set, physically reproduce and simulate test signals, physiological processes, various types of interference and artifacts with high accuracy, resolution, in a wide dynamic and frequency range. The implementation of the developed methods on the basis of a personal computer (PC) and software tools in the LabVIEW environment allows not only to quickly and efficiently record, process, analyze signals from sensors, assess their metrological characteristics, but also to determine the ultimate capabilities of the proposed methods under the action of high-level interference. The implementation of the developed system of metrological research for the general-effect chronomagnetotherapy complexes “Multimag” and “Relaxmag” will make it possible to significantly increase the diagnostic accuracy of the prompt determination of the functional state of the patient during a magnetotherapy session, and accordingly increase the effectiveness of treatment.
Title: Computer-based metrological research system for diagnostic channels of chronomagnetotherapy complexes
