Havia viscut molts anys en aquella casa. Però havia estat casa seva? Les parets, el quadre del menjador, la nova distribució, el piano de l'entrada, el pes dels objectes... O és que ella tan sols era una peça més de l'ordre necessari de la mare? Som davant d'un relat que narra una història de retrobament. Una noia torna a casa per assistir a un àpat familiar. Allà es retroba amb els espais on va viure la seva infància, així com amb la seva família i, sobretot, amb la seva mare.
