The article is devoted to the Museum component of the study of life and work of M. Gorky. Museums contribute to the visual and accessible development of history. It is a national treasure that binds historical memory and forms the moral climate in which generations live and are brought up. The basis of the Gorky Museum exhibition is based on the chronological principle. Gorky influenced the formation of new trends of Russian culture in literature, theater, painting. Gorky as a Museum person allows to tell about significant stages of national history.
