The show featured Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, a high school chemistry teacher in Albuquerque New Mexico who gets diagnosed with cancer and starts to cook meth to leave his family money after he dies. Breaking Bad has become the highest rated television show on IMDb (IMDb), and has maintained its popularity in pop culture since going off the air. This film will be about the effects the television show Breaking Bad has had on the town of Albuquerque. Albuquerque was the setting and primary filming location for all five seasons of Breaking Bad. The show utilized a lot of practical locations, locations that are not fabricated but actually exist in real life, making Albuquerque a tourist destination for fans of the show. According to Bryan Cranston, “Albuquerque itself has become a character in (Breaking Bad)” (Visit Albuquerque). It is not uncommon to see fans riding around in the same RV used in Breaking Bad on a tour going from location to location seen in the show. Albuquerque has changed because of the show, and this film will explore how it changed.
