Toyokuniga Toyo様 ToyoToyoSeries of Diptychs on the 54 chapters of the novel “Genji monogatari Toyo様 Toyo様 ToyoToyoToyoToyo” (narrative by Prince Genji) with a background in blind print and (printed) mica effect. Here is the left part of the diptych for the 2nd chapter “Hahakigi Hier” (cf. KI 7627-90). Genji next to a parachute while playing a flute. Next to him on the floor lies his sword. On his purple kimono again his family coat of arms (mon) on shoulders and sleeves.
