This spotlight reviews the ‘Science Queers’ programme led by drag queen, Lana Vuli. Science Queers is a YouTube channel with the double mission to communicate science and draw attention to queer identities. Camp sci-comm allows acknowledging the existence of queer scientists and taking science to all sorts of queer events, serving as a two-way tool. Science Queers produces live and online activities featuring drag and science communication, and this spotlight recounts its successes changing hearts and minds and also its struggles with continuing queerphobia.
