A Circumstantial Study on Digital Freelancing (Work From Home) in Ahmedabad's IT Sector

The advent of digital freelancing, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, has revolutionised the landscape of labour in a variety of industries. This study will look into the dynamics, difficulties, and prospects of digital freelancing in Ahmedabad's Information Technology (IT) sector. This study takes a qualitative approach, integrating interviews and surveys with freelancers, employers, and industry experts to better understand the freelancing environment. The rapid growth of the IT sector in Ahmedabad has led to an increase in job opportunities, particularly in digital freelancing. With the rise of remote work, digital freelancing has become a popular trend among professionals, allowing them to work from home while maintaining flexibility and autonomy. This study aims to investigate the scope of digital freelancing in Ahmedabad's IT sector, exploring its prevalence, benefits, challenges, and prospects. The rise of digital freelancing (work from home) has transformed the way people work, especially in the IT sector. Ahmedabad, being a hub for IT companies, has seen significant growth in digital freelancing. This study aims to investigate the circumstantial factors influencing the adoption of digital freelancing in Ahmedabad's IT sector. The study explores the demographic characteristics, job preferences, and motivational factors of digital freelancers in Ahmedabad, as well as their experiences, challenges, and expectations. The findings of this study can provide insights for policymakers, entrepreneurs, and IT professionals to understand the opportunities and challenges associated with digital freelancing in Ahmedabad's IT sector. The rapid growth of the IT sector in Ahmedabad has led to an increasing demand for skilled professionals who can work from home. Digital freelancing has emerged as a viable option, offering flexibility and autonomy to professionals. This study aims to investigate the trends, opportunities, and challenges faced by digital freelancers in Ahmedabad's IT sector. The study uses a circumstantial approach to collect data from 100 digital freelancers, including freelancers working in software development, content writing, graphic design, and other related fields.
