Abstract
The Clinical Neurophysiology handbook, as part of the Oxford Specialist Handbooks in Neurology, serves as a comprehensive reference text in the clinical neurophysiology clinic. It is intended for those wishing to understand the individual tests performed in clinical neurophysiology, their technical procedures, and interpretation of results. 
The book includes principles of clinical neurophysiology; electroencephalography and epilepsy; nerve conduction studies, electromyography and neuromuscular disorders; basic evoked potentials including visual evoked potentials, brainstem auditory evoked potential and somatosensory evoked potentials; advanced evoked potentials, including motor evoked potentials and event-related potentials; intraoperative monitoring; autonomic function disorders; small-fibre studies; sleep disorders; and movement disorders. Each chapter covers the common tests performed along with their protocols, common findings and relevant interpretation. Reference values, diagnostic criteria, recent changes in definitions and clinical examples are included. Paediatric cases and maturation of the nervous system are covered in relevant chapters. The European Training Requirements for Clinical Neurophysiology 2017, the UK Clinical Neurophysiology Training Curriculum 2021, and the American Academy of Neurology Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Core Curriculum have been used to inform the breadth of cases. 
The text is written with the practitioners and data interpreters in mind. It is an indispensable pocket guide to trainee clinical neurophysiologists.
