Identifikasi Umur Nyamuk Aedes Aegypti sebagai Vektor Demam Berdarah di Kelurahan Medono Kota Pekalongan Barat

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus which is transmitted through the bite of an adult female Aedes aegypti mosquito as its vector. Aedes aegypti mosquitoes can be said to be vectors if the mosquito has gone through an extrinsic incubation period of 8-10 days, therefore the ovarian dilation method is used to determine the age of the mosquito. The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of ovarian dilation and to determine the average age of Aedes aegypt mosquitoes in Medono Village, West Pekalongan City. The research method used was descriptive to determine the picture of ovarian dilation of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in Medono District, West Pekalongan City. The result this research is 36 parous adult female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes (85.7%) and 6 nulliparous mosquitoes (14.3%) were found. From parous mosquitoes, 11 (30.6) were produced at 4 days old, 12 (33.3) were produced at 8 days old, 5 (13.9) were produced at 12 days old, and 8 (22.2) were produced at 16 days old. The average age was 9.1 days. The samples used were 42 Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. It was found that 36 parous adult female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes (85.7%) and 6 nulliparous mosquitoes (14.3%). From parous mosquitoes, 11 (30.6) were produced at 4 days old, 12 (33.3) were produced at 8 days old, 5 (13.9) were produced at 16 days old, and 8 (22.2) were produced at 16 days old. The average age was 9.1 days.
