False-coloured scanning electron micrograph of raw potato. Raw potato reveals a structure made up of smooth ovals that look like miniature potatoes which conform to a fractal-like pattern. Width of image is 370 micrometres. These drawings form part of a series of work "Raw to Processed" which considers food and its relationship to health, looking at patterns in the structure of food and how these change when food is processed.
