J Greenwood Delt & Lith" Bottom Centre: "Published by Thos Forman, 14 Long Row, Nottingham, October, 1850." Bottom right: "Printed by C Moody" A row of houses runs across the centre of the composition, at the top of the cliff, with the Castle on the right. To the right of the Castle is a glimpse of buildings beyond Castle- rock. In the foreground on the open grassland are people walking around, and cattle grazing. In the centre foreground is a man and a woman seated on a grassy bank.
