Text according to Helsingborg in the art (1985): "The painting shows the area between PrästText and GasverksText. On the left is Ruuthska the mill, Helsingborg’s first actual industry, and on the right one sees the stump rooms on the south. The building in the middle is thus the Essenska villa (consul Persson’s villa). It had been built in 1846-47 by Count Gustaf von Essen, master of the houses laid in Helsingborg. The painting gives a good picture. Oil painting on canvas within gilded richly ornate wooden frame.
