Being an integral part of national culture, Classical Chinese poetry has formed a unique language of artistic expression, as well as deep concepts retaining their infl uence up to this day. A number of musical adaptations and arrangements have been based on Su Shi's (1037-1101) “Prelude to Water Melody. How long will the full moon last?” Th is article focuses on the poem's piano adaptation by Zhou Jiasheng.
