First person – Gabriella Robertson

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Gabriella Robertson is first author on ‘ DRP1 mutations associated with EMPF1 encephalopathy alter mitochondrial membrane potential and metabolic programs’, published in JCS. Gabriella is a PhD candidate in the lab of Vivian Gama at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA, where her research interests center on the role of organelle dynamics and metabolic function in early neurodevelopment and disease.
