Kirjasto- ja informaatioalan vaikuttaja, professori Tuula H. Laaksovirta menehtyi marraskuun alussa. Hän toimieduskunnan kirjaston johtajana vuosina 1994–2007 ja eduskunnan kanslian tieto- ja viestintäjohtajana vuosituhannenalussa. Hänen eduskuntauraansa edelsivät toimet Joensuun ja Vaasan yliopiston kirjaston johtajana sekä apulaisprofessorinaTampereen yliopistossa ja tutkijana Suomen Akatemiassa. Professorin arvonimen hän sai vuonna 2011.
