As technology becomes increasingly intertwined with contemporary performance, the classical guitar, traditionally associated with acoustic purity, opens up new possibilities for repertoire and performance practice.Through an analysis of the history of co-creation practices within the field of classical guitar, existing works for guitar and electronics and several performer-composer collaborative case studies, I aim to answer the question “How can a classical guitarist actively contribute to the compositional process when developing new works for classical guitar and electronics?”Milda Orvydaitė is a calssical guitarist with strong interest in contemporary and electroacoustic music. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in classical music at the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague under the supervision of Pavel Steidl and Campbell Diamond (Erasmus+ exchange at Anton Bruckner Private University, autumn semester 2025-2026).
