Portraits of well-known composers with Georg Friedrich Händel. The sheet shows 5 portraits (S. Arnold, T. Arne, H. Bishop, H. Purcell and, in the middle, G. F. Händel). Every oval effigy is embedded in an artful cartouche, the cartouches give an overall artwork. The Händel image is made in the way William Chapman’s puncture from 1840/1850 (BS-I 010), but a template according to James Thomson’s steel engraving from 1832/1833 is also conceivable (BS- I 11/BS-I 118). The leaf could come from a (music) lexicon.
