Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while Chi-square statistical was employed to test all the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of hypothesis one indicated that there was a significant leverage between participation in in-service training and teachers’ job effectiveness in FCT Senior Secondary Schools, Nigeria and there was a significant leverage between mentoring and teachers’ job effectiveness in FCT Senior Secondary Schools, Nigeria. One of the recommendations of the study was that the FCT Secondary Education Board needs to sponsor all teachers through in-service training such as sandwich; part-time programmes among others to enable them update their knowledge and teaching skills needed for effective performance of their teaching responsibilities.
