La reducción capitalista de la persona: una aproximación desde Mounier

In this text we propose, based on the section An Economy for the Person of Emmanuel Mounier's Manifesto at the Personalist Service, two intertwined objectives: 1) an update of the criticism that Mounier made at the time of capitalism (C); 2) an assessment of the conditions that a specific economic proposal must meet to be considered an 'economy for the person' (EP). Given that there are anti-capitalisms (¬C) of various kinds and the spectrum ranges from sharing the same rules of the game (pseudo-anticapitalisms) to those that, being revolutionary, generate as much or more disorder and harm to the person (collectivisms), We must support the two components of Mounier's proposal: on the one hand, that an economy for the person is anti-capitalist (EP ? ¬C), and on the other, that it is contained in personalism and therefore affirms its principles (EP ? P). Sections 2 and 3 of this work will be dedicated, respectively, to these two expositions, being preceded by an introductory section that allows a better understanding of the validity of Mounier's criticism of capitalism, as well as the closeness that his proposal has with others that today are considered viable alternatives. At the end we will provide a graphic outline for the possible location of closeness or distance of current economic proposals towards the personalist model (section 4).
