View of the iron bridge over the canal in the Duke of Northumberland's park at Sion

The original 16th century formal garden layout was replaced by the open landscaping of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the mid-18th century. This landscaping included the creation of lakes to the north and west of the house. The wrought iron bridge seen in the drawing was added in 1790.
