Tōshūsai Sharakuga TTTTTThe actor Iwai Hanshirō IV. TTTTTTTTT( 1747-1800) in the role of Amme Shigenoi. Together with Segawa Kikunojō III, he was one of the best on 'nagata Er ・ Er Er Er Er. On the kimono he wears his personal coat of arms, three covered compartments. The role of Amme Shigenoi is part of the Kabuki play “Koi nyōbō somewake tazuna Die Die Die Die Die 様 Die Die Die Die Die Die Die” performed with Iwai Hanshirō in the 5th month of 1794 at the Kawarazaki Theater in Edo. Shigenoi, who lives at the court of daimyō Yurugi Saemon, has a forbidden liaison with Yosaku, a follower of the prince from whom a son emerges. To save her honor, Shigenois father commits ritual suicide. The prince then forgives Shigenoi and makes her the amme of his newborn daughter Shirabe (and her son grows up separately from her). When Shirabe is to move to the Kantō region 12 years later in order to marry herself there, Shigenoi brings the same age horse servant Sankichi (her own boy, without her knowing) to cheer up Shirabe in the game. Shigenoi and Sankichi discover by means of an amulet that they are mother and son, but cannot live together due to the rigid rules. Sharaku represents Shigenoi here with an amulet bag in his hand.
