Asymmetry between Good and Evil from Philosophical and Moral-Theological Perspectives

W teologii moralnej uzyskanie oceny czynu ludzkiego bazuje na rozróżnieniu pomiędzy tym, co jest dobre, a co złe, dlatego związek pomiędzy dobrem z złem jest tak bardzo istotny w podejmowanej przez nią refleksji. Pomimo wstępnego wrażenia, że możemy mieć tutaj do czynienia z pewną równowagą, analiza dobra z trzech perspektyw pozwala jednak uzyskać odmienny wniosek o ewidentnej asymetrii dobra wobec zła. Odwołanie się do myśli Tomasza z Akwinu, dziedzictwa neotomisty Josefa Piepera oraz refleksji wpływowego moralisty Eberharda Schockenhoffa pozwala systematycznie przeanalizować tę asymetrię dobra w tych trzech wymiarach. W filozoficznej perspektywie dostrzegana jest ta asymetria w analizie bytu, który jako stworzony jest dobry w odróżnieniu do zła, które jest niebytem. W analizie moralnoteologicznej genezy i celu ludzkiego działania, dobro okazuje się być zarówno początkiem, jak i celem ludzkiego czynu moralnego. I wreszcie w trzeciej perspektywie, w eksploracji aretologii, dobro zostaje uznane już chociażby u Arystotelesa jako najwyższa zasada w dynamice cnót w ogólności, jak i w realizowaniu poszczególnych cnót.
